GCPR-VMV is Germany’s leading forum for advances in computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, modeling, and visualization research. It combines two conferences: The International Symposium on Vision, Modeling, and Visualization (VMV) and the German Conference on Pattern Recognition (GCPR). Besides the research, the forum has a tradition to be a networking event of Germany-based researchers, with typically over 200 participants including many world-leading experts. The main program includes several keynote speakers, as well as invited talks by leading researchers from academy and industry. The social program includes a reception and a conference dinner. The 48th edition of GCPR and 31st edition of VMV will be held jointly in Siegen, Germany, on 22-25 September 2026 (Tue-Fri).
We invite submissions of high-quality research papers presenting original contributions in all areas of visual computing. Submitted papers will be evaluated by an International Program Committee based on their originality, soundness, empirical validation, and presentation. The review process will follow a double-blind format. The VMV proceedings will be published in cooperation with Eurographics and are archived in the EG digital library.

Nectar Track
The nectar track is an opportunity to contribute a poster presentation to the program of VMV by presenting a paper already published within the last year at a previous major international computer graphics, computer vision, or machine learning conference or journal. This way, you can generate additional exposure for your work and have a platform for networking with colleagues within and outside the VMV community. Proposals for the nectar track can be submitted by filling out the submission form: https://forms.gle/C7QSnucxDec6JDKc9
