Welcome to GCPR + VMV 2024

GCPR + VMV 2024 is Germany’s leading forum for advances in computer vision, machine learning, computer graphics, modeling, and visualization research. It combines two conferences that usually take place separately: The German Conference on Pattern Recognition (GCPR) and the International Symposium on Vision, Modeling, and Visualization (VMV).

GCPR + VMV 2024 will feature joint invited talks (keynote presentations) and nectar track sessions, research presentations of papers that underwent strict peer review and will be published in CGPR and VMV proceedings, poster sessions, as well as workshops and tutorials.

GCPR

The German Conference on Pattern Recognition (GCPR) is the annual symposium of the German Association for Pattern Recognition (DAGM). It is the national venue for recent advances in image processing, pattern recognition, and computer vision and it follows the long tradition of the DAGM conference series, which has been renamed to GCPR in 2013 to reflect its increasing internationalization. In 2024 in Munich, the conference series will celebrate its 46th anniversary. The 2024 conference is being co-organized with the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML), one of the six national AI competence centers in Germany.

VMV

The Symposium on Vision, Modeling, and Visualization (VMV) will take place for the 29th time in 2024. It is the annual symposium of the German research community in computer graphics and visualization, and it serves the annual gathering of the members of the “Fachbereich Graphische Datenverarbeitung” of the German “Gesellschaft für Informatik”.

The conference program includes several receptions and a Gala Dinner in the Augustiner on Thursday night.
