GCPR 2026: Submission Instructions

Author Kit and Submission System

All papers have to be written in English and conform to the Springer LNCS format. Please use the GCPR 2026 author kit:

The author kit is based on the Springer’s proceedings LaTeX template, which is also available as an Overleaf template. However, if you use this template, make sure you also use all conference-specific settings from the file main.tex in the author kit.

Papers are submitted via the Microsoft CMT for GCPR 2026: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/GCPR2026.

When you register a paper, you will obtain a paper ID. Please make sure to insert it at the appropriate location in the LaTeX template.

Regular Papers

The DAGM GCPR 2026 proceedings, to be published in the Springer LNCS series, will include all accepted papers, under the condition that someone presents the paper at the conference. Authors should take into account the following rules:

  • The paper length is limited to 12 pages excluding references. It is not allowed to modify the margins, font size, or page layout of the template, since Springer needs clean LaTeX source files for the proceedings.
  • All papers have to be submitted as a single PDF file. The authors are requested to ensure that all fonts are embedded in the PDF file.
  • DAGM GCPR reviewing is double blind. Please avoid any information that may identify the authors.
  • See general policies at the end of this document.

Papers that do not conform to the above guidelines will be rejected without reviewing.

Young Researchers Forum

If you are a Master student, you might be eligible for the Best Master’s Thesis Award of the Young Researchers Forum. Students who received a Master’s degree from a university in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland after July 2025 can apply for the best Master’s Thesis Award. Please visit the DAGM Young Researcher Forum website for more information. The submission instructions are the same as for regular papers, but the following steps need to be done in addition:

Send an email with subject [YRF Fast Review Track Submission: #PaperID] to gcpr-vmv@uni-siegen.de before the submission deadline. The email should state that #PaperID is a YRF submission and contain a link for downloading the additional documents:

  • a PDF version of the Master’s thesis,
  • a copy of the Master’s certificate,
  • a declaration stating that the contents of the submission correspond to the Master’s thesis
  • a letter of the advisor supporting the submission and stating that the thesis is excellent.

Please do not include these documents in the supplementary material submitted via CMT since it reveals the identity of the author.

Finally, in CMT3, mark the submission as a submission for the YRF by ticking the respective checkbox. In the LaTeX template, uncomment the line for the YRF track.

In addition, travel grants are available for excellent Bachelor graduates and enrolled Master’s students. More information is available at DAGM Young Researcher Forum website.

Fast Review Track

The fast track is open to submissions based on previously rejected peer-reviewed conference or journal papers (since 01.06.2025, including papers rejected by ECCV), provided the authors can address the prior reviews with a minor revision. The review cycle is about two weeks. More details will follow!

As for regular papers, the paper length is limited to 12 pages excluding references. It is not allowed to modify the margins, font size, or page layout of the GCPR template. Submissions that use the original submissions template, e.g., CVPR or ECCV, will be rejected. Besides any optional supplementary material for the revised paper, the following documents need to be provided as part of the supplementary material:

  • the original anonymous but otherwise unmodified submission with paper ID as PDF
  • the original unmodified reviews as PDF
  • the original unmodified meta-review as PDF
  • a summary of changes as PDF that describes the changes of the original CVPR submission and how the comments of the reviewers have been addressed in the revised paper (see GCPR 2026 author kit for the template).

Non-Proceedings Tracks

Extended Abstract Track

Extended abstracts are limited to 4 pages excluding references. No additional supplementary material is allowed. Submissions should also use the GCPR 2026 template. Accepted abstracts will be published on the GCPR website, but will not appear in the conference proceedings.

Nectar Track

Articles in the Nectar Track are articles that were already published or at least accepted for publication elsewhere in 2025-2026. Hence, they will not be published again in GCPR. We strongly encourage submitting your conference and journal articles from such venues as ICCV, ECCV, CVPR, NeurIPS, ICML, PAMI, IJCV etc. The submission guidelines are as follows:

  • The article must be submitted as a single PDF file in CMT. Ideally, submit the already published paper.
  • As for other tracks, at least one author of the article must be present at the conference.
  • The submission should not be anonymized, i.e., author names and, possibly, contact information and affiliation should be provided on the title page of the article.
  • Article length is not restricted. Its content must match that of the published version, although its formatting may differ.
  • Submission link will follow.

Policies

Dual submissions: By submitting a manuscript to GCPR (except Nectar Track), authors acknowledge that it has not been previously published or accepted for publication in substantially similar form in any peer-reviewed venue, including journal, conference or workshop, or archival forum. Furthermore, no publication substantially similar in content has been or will be submitted to this or another conference, workshop, or journal during the review period. Violation of any of these conditions will lead to rejection and will be reported to the other venue to which the submission was sent.

A publication, for the purposes of this policy, is defined to be a written work longer than four pages (excluding references) that was submitted for review by peers for either acceptance or rejection, and, after review, was accepted. In particular, this definition of publication does not depend upon whether such an accepted written work appears in a formal proceedings or whether the organizers declare that such work “counts as a publication.” Under the above definition, arXiv preprints and university technical reports are not considered publications. However, peer-reviewed workshop papers are considered publications if their length exceeds four pages (excluding references), even if they do not appear in proceedings.

Authors acting as reviewers: We expect all authors to be willing to serve as reviewers if asked to do so.

Toronto Paper Matching System: By submitting a paper, the authors agree that the paper will be processed by the Toronto Paper Matching System to match each manuscript to the best possible reviewers.
